{"id":214826,"date":"2022-11-04T13:37:48","date_gmt":"2022-11-04T20:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asphaltandrubber.com\/?p=214826"},"modified":"2022-11-04T13:37:48","modified_gmt":"2022-11-04T20:37:48","slug":"respol-honda-contract-2024-motomatters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asphaltandrubber.com\/motogp\/respol-honda-contract-2024-motomatters\/","title":{"rendered":"Repsol Extend Sponsorship Deal With HRC Through 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spanish petroleum giant Repsol has announced that they have extended their sponsorship of Honda&#8217;s factory team for two more seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish corporation will continue to sponsor the Repsol Honda team through 2024, which will mark the 30th anniversary of their deal, the longest running sponsorship backing in history.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->While the announcement is hardly unexpected, it does bring an end to what has become an almost annual ritual of speculation over whether Repsol would remain with HRC or not. For the next two years, Repsol is staying put.<\/p>\n<p>One interesting motivation for Repsol to remain with Honda is MotoGP&#8217;s imminent switch to non-fossil fuel sources.
